Abi Abera

GAMMA World Bronze Medalist & Oceania Champion

Originally hailing from the Mai Dojo team in Wellington, Abi relocated to Hamilton in 2025 to join the Pro Development Squad. He has a strong amateur MMA background, including a bronze medal in the GAMMA World Championships and claiming the GAMMA Oceania Championship belt in 2026.

Abi was selected to represent Team NZ at the UWW Asia & Oceania Grappling & MMA Championships in June 2026, where he earnt Silver medals in both the Seniors Grappling u58 and the Seniors MMA u57 divisions.
