"The techniques of impacting" - Style Overview

Kickboxing is the hybridisation of traditional martial arts such as Karate, Muay Thai and Tae Kwon Do. The term Kickboxing originated in the 1970's as an evolution of combat sports such as full-contact Karate & Muay Thai, and has been undergoing significant development ever since. Prominent kickboxing promoters have been Glory and the former K-1. For an extensive history on the development of Kickboxing, check here.
